Edison Digital Transformation
Outcome
As BIP consultant with my team, we designed a new experience flow that the different users types (more than 25, internal and external) will go through in a new unique digital platform that will integrate the over 11 systems currently used in project management. To represent the new platform and the experience, we produced a service blueprint that represents in each phase of the process, not only the flows of interactions between the different actors and systems, but also the functional requirements necessary to develop the platform. The project enabled Edison to transform its way of working through a desirable, feasible, viable solution.
Edison engineering department wanted to develop a new digital environment integrated with multiple tools and processes the employees work with, in order to reduce those activities that today people usually execute manually and are extremely time consuming. This digital transformation project involved more than 100 people working within the division, and it required to investigate, map and understand deeply the different experiences every employee lives during his work.
